BENEFITS OF REGISTRATION
To register a society in Delhi, the following steps need to be taken:
1. Choose a name for the society and ensure that it is not already in use by another society.
2. Prepare a memorandum of association and rules and regulations for the society.
3. Get the memorandum of association and rules and regulations signed by at least seven members of the society.
4. Prepare a list of members of the society, along with their names, addresses, and occupations.
5. Prepare a declaration by the members of the society stating that they wish to form a society and that the information provided in the memorandum of association and rules and regulations is true and accurate.
6. Submit the memorandum of association, rules and regulations, list of members, and declaration to the Registrar of Societies in Delhi.
7. Pay the required registration fee.
Once the application is submitted, the Registrar of Societies will review the application and may request additional information or documentation. If the application is approved, the society will be registered and a certificate of registration will be issued.
